MS9-ORIGINAL HEER DOUBLE DECALTRANSITIONAL M18 HELMET:
A great all original example of an M18 transitional helmet as used by the Heer. The exterior exhibits heavy Iar exposing multiple layers of original finish. Attesting to the transitional history of the helmet are segments of the WW1 grey-green, ReichsIhr apple green and Heer field grey paints. The decals consist of a CA Pocher style Heer shield retained at about 65% and a Tri-color national shield at about 40%. The interior of the unmarked 62 shell retains about 90% of its original grey green finish along with a “62” stenciled in the rear skirt. It is complete with its original period upgraded M31 liner, interestingly dated 1931 (the first year of introduction for this type).
